These are other permits available to foreigners are long-term or semi-permanent in nature. These include S Pass, Employment Pass, Personalised Employment Pass and EntrePass.

Miscellaneous Work Pass

Miscellaneous Work Pass is catered mainly to foreigners on short-term assignments, such as speakers at a seminar, religious workers or journalists. The duration of the pass is valid for 60 days.

 

Work Permit for foreign worker

Work Permit for foreign worker is catered mainly to semi-skilled foreign workers in the construction, manufacturing, marine shipyard, process or services sector. The duration of the pass is valid for 2 years.

The foreign workers have to the eligibility criteria. There are quota and levy requirements which limits the number of Work Permit holders that a company can hire.

 

Work Permit for foreign domestic worker

Work Permit for foreign domestic worker is catered mainly to foreign domestic workers (FDWs) to work in Singapore. The duration of the pass is valid for 2 years. Employers must pay a monthly levy.

 

Work Permit for confinement nanny

Work Permit for confinement nanny is catered mainly to Malaysian confinement nannies to work in Singapore for up to 16 weeks starting from the birth of the employer’s child. Employers must pay a monthly levy.

 

Work Permit for performing artiste

Work Permit for performing artiste are catered mainly to foreign performers working in public entertainment outlets such as bars, hotels and nightclubs. The duration of the pass is valid for 6 months. Employers are subject to quota and levy for each Work Permit holder.
